The Cirneco Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the well-being and preservation of the Cirneco dell’Etna — an ancient and remarkable breed, often simply referred to as the “Cirneco” (plural: Cirnechi or Cirnechi dell’Etna).
Whether you’re an owner, breeder, enthusiast, or simply curious about the breed, you’ve come to the right place.
Our Mission
We promote the humane treatment and overall welfare of Cirnechi through three core areas: Education, Health, and Rescue. Everything we do is guided by our bylaws and driven by a deep commitment to the breed.
How We Operate
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of five Directors serving staggered three-year terms. As a fully volunteer-run organization, no one receives compensation — all funds go directly to our programs. We hold annual meetings and convene additionally as needed. We warmly welcome volunteers who share our passion for Cirnechi!
